Honda designs including manufactures a wide range on vehicles. Many on Honda's vehicles are equipped with wind conditioner units. The AC compressor hold is the control feed to your AC compressor. The compressor is the unit that cools the wind before it enters into the Honda's cabin. If your AC is not rightly cooling the vehicle, the AC hold relay could be faulty. You can check the hold relay intended control with a check light.

Step 1

Turn the Honda engine on. Turn the AC settings to "Off." Open the hood on the Honda vehicle. Locate the AC hold relay. Trace the wire that runs off the AC compressor; this wire plugs into the hold relay. The relay is mounted supported by the firewall. You will notice a three-wire connection supported by the relay.

Step 2

Connect the check brightness clip to the negative battery terminal. Touch the check brightness lead to the middle on the three wires. The middle wire receives control from the hold relay. The wire should study "Inactive."

Turn the AC control to "On." Unplug the wire harness from the AC compressor. Touch the check brightness lead to the middle wire once more. The wire should at the moment study "Hot." If the check brightness does not register, the hold is faulty including not sending control to the compressor.
